Ever wondered how shells get their colours, who makes them, or what they’re called?

Join Broome’s Shell Ambassador, Taryn The Shell, for a lively one-hour session diving into the amazing world of shells!

Set among the dazzling Hilda Hotker Shell Collection (on display since 2015), this free holiday talk will reveal the fascinating science of molluscs – the ocean’s shell makers. Discover how shells are formed, explore specimens collected over 80 years, and have your shell questions answered.

Taryn brings her passion for conchology (the study of shells) to life with stories, facts and hands-on learning making it the perfect mix of fun and science for curious kids and families.

This is a free event, however, booking is essential, as space is limited. Please notify us if you are unable to attend, so we can release your spot.
