Summer at the Station is packed full of great activities and events for both locals and visitors alike. From magical outdoor theatre performances, to our popular holiday activities program, a yoga workshop, and our Night Watch Experience, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Coming to our amphitheatre on 7 and 8 January is Fremantle Theatre Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as part of the iconic Bankwest Shakespeare in the Park. Bring your own picnic (no BYO), or pre-order a hamper with your ticket, or purchase drinks, coffee and sweets on the night from local vendors, and enjoy a summer’s night under a sky full of sparkling stars.
Designed to enhance the experience for children, our summer holiday activities program will run for 3 weeks, Monday-Friday, from 10 – 28 January, with no pre-bookings required to join the fun. Included in the program, will be activities from the team at Marine Energy Research Australia, a shark sleuth and whale craft. There are also opportunities to meet retired whalers, to join a garden walk & talk, or to meet some friendly Australian animals with the Wildlife Park team.
On Saturday 15 January, join experienced Yoga instructor Racquel Cavallaro for a yoga workshop set on the grass along the water’s edge. After the workshop, enjoy a healthy and rejuvenating breakfast at Whalers Galley Café, overlooking the pristine King George Sound.
Step aboard the Cheynes IV for a night like no other on Friday 21 January with out Night Watch Experience. Joining one of our passionate guides you will discover stories from the whale chasers’ historic past while exploring parts of the ship in a thrilling twilight experience. Included after your tour is a delicious dinner at Whaler’s Galley Café.
With so many great events and activities on offer, a whole day of discovery and adventure awaits you, and we are OPEN every day from 9am, including all public holidays!
Bring a picnic and relax in our undercover BBQ areas, or enjoy a meal at our onsite café. Plus, you do not need to pre-book your visit as our site covers a large, mostly outdoor area, and even in our peak periods we do not reach our capacity limit.
