After two seasons of sold-out workshops, Ros Jenke is back this spring with Watercolour & Wildflowers – A Plein Air Workshop set amongst the blooms of our Regional Wildflower Garden.

Workshop 1 – Thursday 29 September
Workshop 2 – Thursday 6 October
10.30am to 3.00pm

Immerse yourself in Albany’s beautiful Regional Wildflower Garden for a day of plein air painting while learning the techniques of sketching and painting in the open air.

This 4.5 hour tutored workshop is suitable for all skill levels and includes a delicious picnic lunch and refreshments overlooking the King George Sound.

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • find your inspiration
  • focus on the scene
  • simplify the subject
  • compose and paint landscape and native flora

During the workshop Ros will demonstrate how to choose and paint a scene. You will then be able to explore our extensive Wildflower Garden to find your own scene and start your plein air masterpiece. Ros will provide you with guidance throughout the session, helping you to develop your plein air practical skills and techniques.
