Learn the delicate art of water colour painting and explore marine themes with water colour artist Helen Heerey.

Thursday 5 October, 10am – 4pm

This workshop is facilitated by ArtSouthWA as part of the 2023 Southern Art & Craft Trail.

Participants to bring:
2 x small water containers, paper towel, sketch book and pencils, desk easel or board to lean work on plus tissue box or similar to lean board on; masking tape (not coloured)
Brushes:
• Minimum 2cm hake
• Large round brush
• Medium round brush
• Rigger

Morning and afternoon tea is provided, participants to bring lunch or purchase from café onsite.

Tutor will supply:
Good quality watercolour paper; one and half imperial 300 gsm sheets per person

About Tutor Helen Heerey:
Helen Heerey resides in Albany WA and has been capturing the local scenery in her delicate water colours for 11 years. In this workshop Helen will lead participants to explore the underwater world and to capture dolphins breaching the waves. By providing two demonstration pieces for participants to follow, everyone will come away with new water colour skills and their own artistic version of our underwater world.
