Inspired by the nautical images crafted on early whaling voyages, join award-winning artist Andy Dolphin for a 3 hour drawing workshop on Wednesday 24 July.
Andy will demonstrate drawing techniques you can use to create your own maritime artworks, working in a similar style to the Scrimshanders.
Plus, view the incredible Art of Scrimshaw exhibition to discover the history of this unique artform.

$85 per workshop
All workshop materials and morning/afternoon tea included. You are also welcome to bring your own additional material and supplies.
The workshops will be held onsite at Albany’s Historic Whaling Station, please wear suitable footwear, and bring a hat and a warm jacket.
No previous experience is required, and these workshops are suitable for ages 15 years +.
Bookings are essential, as space is limited.
