Our new spring baby animals!
Come meet our new Aussie wildlife babies.
Spring brings the arrival of many baby native animals in our wildlife park.
Our newest arrival is this very cute Rufous Bettong joey (image above), who is almost too big for mum's pouch! She enjoys foraging alongside her parents for food including grasses, seeds, flowers, roots, tubers and fungi.
We have also seen the arrival of baby brush tail possums, including this gorgeous golden possum. Did you know - possums are born the size of a jelly bean, with no fur, thin pink skin and only weighing 0.2grams! They live in their mother’s pouch, attached to her teat for around 120 days until they are big enough to travel on mum's back. This little guy is still a bit shy, but was brave enough to come out while mum was enjoying her dinner.
Come a meet our new babies and their families this spring in our Australian Wildlife Park, open daily 10am to 5pm.
